Starting with Project Rushmore a few years ago, Harley-Davidson® has continued to add one awesome innovation after the next in the pursuit of the perfect touring machine. New Touring Features for 2017
To make the 2017 Touring motorcycles better than ever before, Harley-Davidson® has added on some great features for a smoother, more comfortable ride. First off, the front end of these bikes got special treatment, and now feature the robust suspension of a Showa® Dual Bending Valve front fork. On the rear emulsion shock, you can now fine tune the feel of your touring ride using the tool free pre-load adjustment knob. Of course, while a stronger suspension and a smoother ride is great, the really big news for 2017 is the addition of the Milwaukee-Eight. Every 2017 Touring bike now features the heavy hitting power of a 107 cubic inch Milwaukee-Eight engine, which serves up more power than any touring engine Harley-Davidson® has put on the road.
Harley-Davidson® Ultra Limited
The Harley-Davidson® Ultra Limited is decked out with every awesome feature that Harley-Davidson® could fit on one bike. These awesome touring motorcycles are equipped with all of the amenities of Project Rushmore, including a full color touch screen Infotainment display, a premium BOOM! Box audio system, hard side locking Tour-Pak and saddlebags (with one touch convenience) and an ultra comfortable saddle and passenger seat. We really shouldn’t pick favorites, but this may be the best Touring Bike in the Harley-Davidson® lineup.
Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Ultra Classic®
Electra Glide® motorcycles have been defining comfortable touring for decades. Now featuring the power of the Milwaukee-Eight engine and a host of great Project Rushmore features, the Electra Glide® Ultra Classic® carries on the legacy launched by the first Electra Glide® motorcycles in 1965. The Electra Glide® Ultra Classic® is outfitted with a low slung saddle that provides the driver better back support, while the passenger on one of these bikes enjoys a full seat back and armrests, as well as full length footboards for plenty of legroom.
Harley-Davidson® Street Glide®
Street Glide® Motorcycles are outfitted for a smooth ride mile after mile. Using Harley-Davidson®’s carefully crafted batwing fairing design, these bikes will have you cruising down the freeway effortlessly, without relentless buffeting from the wind. If you need to cool off you can open the vents in the fairing and let in the right amount of breeze to keep you feeling fresh. You also won’t suffer as much throttle fatigue thanks to the inclusion of cruise control. When you’re riding a Street Glide®, you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
